The Lebanese Hezbollah party affirmed on Friday that (Israel) has never committed to any ceasefire agreement, emphasizing that the battlefield will determine the course of the confrontation in the coming days.

A statement issued by the Islamic Resistance Operations Room, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the (Israeli) enemy's claims regarding its commitment to a ceasefire are false," clarifying that "the enemy has not abided by any ceasefire agreement since November 27, 2024, through April 16, 2026, up to the recent understandings."

It added that "the (Israeli) enemy has continued its deliberate violations by committing massacres and targeting residential buildings and civilian infrastructure, in addition to attempts to infiltrate and seize new areas within Lebanese territory."

According to the statement "recent (Israeli) statements confirm the lack of commitment to a ceasefire, as military officials have admitted that there is no actual truce, with military operations continuing in southern Lebanon."

It explained that "the enemy resorts to targeting civilians and safe villages to cover up its failures on the battlefield, after its inability to confront the resistance."

The statement emphasized that "the Islamic resistance will remain ready to repel any aggression, and its fighters will continue to defend the land and the people," affirming that "the battlefield will determine the course of the confrontation in the coming days."
