Follow-up – INA

Lebanon’s Islamic Resistance, Hezbollah, announced on Friday that it had targeted an (Israeli) force attempting to infiltrate the northern flank of the Ali al-Taher Heights in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah said in a statement followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “as part of the Ashura operations, Hezbollah fighters targeted an (Israeli) force that attempted to infiltrate the northern flank of the Ali al-Taher Heights under the cover of a smoke screen.”

The statement added that “the targeted (Israeli) force was attempting to infiltrate the area to evacuate Israeli dead and wounded who had previously been targeted by Hezbollah fighters in an earlier ambush.”

Meanwhile, Hebrew media reported that two (Israeli) airstrikes were carried out on the town of Ain Bourday and the outskirts of the city of Baalbek in the Bekaa Valley, in addition to strikes on the towns of Arabsalim and Al-Rayhan in southern Lebanon.
