Ali Akbar Velayati, senior political adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader, said on Sunday that the "zero hour" had arrived and that launch platforms were taking up firing positions.
"The zero hour has arrived and the launch platforms are taking position," Velayati said in a press statement.
He added that Hezbollah is part of the "Axis of Resistance" and warned that if what he described as interference in Lebanon does not cease, "the two powerful geographic arms, namely the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab, will choke your economic arteries, leading to strategic strangulation."
Velayati further said that "the miscalculation committed in Beirut exhausted patience and the order has been issued."
He reiterated that if the situation in Lebanon does not de-escalate, the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab would "choke their economic arteries until strategic strangulation is achieved."
