Transport Minister Wahb Al-Hassani and Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi discussed joint coordination efforts to facilitate the transportation of Pakistani pilgrims during the months of Muharram and Safar, Iraq's Transport Ministry said on Sunday.

In a statement, the ministry said Al-Hassani received a phone call from Naqvi, during which the two officials reviewed key issues of mutual interest between the two countries.

The call also addressed joint coordination regarding the transportation of Pakistani pilgrims travelling to Iraq to visit holy shrines during Muharram and Safar, the statement said.

Both sides stressed the importance of maintaining coordination and communication to ensure constructive cooperation and facilitate procedures related to travel and movement between the two countries in the coming period, according to the statement.
