Pakistan says US-Iran peace deal text has been agreed
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says the US and Iran have agreed the final text of a peace deal, even as Israel continues to strike a belligerent tone over any diplomatic breakthrough with Tehran.
“Pakistan is now working closely with both sides to finalize the next steps,” Sharif wrote on X.
Sharif said the agreement had brought the region closer to avoiding further escalation.
“Peace has never been this close as it is now.”
