The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, offered his condolences on Thursday on the passing of Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq al-Fayyad.
The Supreme Leader's media office stated that "His Eminence Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei sent a message of condolence on the passing of Grand Ayatollah Hajj Sheikh Ishaq al-Fayyad, praising his scholarly, seminary, and guidance services."
Ayatollah Khamenei also extended his condolences to the seminary in Najaf, the followers and admirers of the late Grand Ayatollah, the Afghan people, and his family on this profound loss.
