PM Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi sent a message on Wednesday to the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmed Al-Sharaa, emphasizing ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

The message was delivered by the Head of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, Hamid Rashid Al-Shatri, according to a statement from the PM Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The Prime Minister’s message emphasized “ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and enhance coordination in addressing the crises and challenges facing the region, particularly in the economic and security fields, in line with their shared interests.”

In turn, President Al-Sharaa expressed his appreciation to Prime Minister Al-Zaidi and the Iraqi government, affirming “Syria’s commitment to cooperating with Iraq in addressing the common challenges resulting from recent developments in the region.”

He stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two brotherly countries, particularly in the security and economic sectors.
