Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi received on Wednesday the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, , Elbrus Kutrashev, on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA),”During the meeting, the Ambassador presented two written congratulatory messages from Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. In their messages, they emphasized the importance of bilateral relations, built on friendship and mutual respect, and expressed their aspiration to strengthen and develop joint cooperation in a way that serves the interests of both friendly nations and contributes to ensuring regional and international stability and security.”
The Prime Minister also received an invitation from the Russian President to participate in the 8th Meeting of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, which will be held in Moscow on October 27.
