Iraq’s Ministry of Higher Education and ScientificResearch has approved the establishment of the country’s first GraduateInstitute for Health Technologies and Artificial Intelligence, the NorthernTechnical University in Nineveh announced on Tuesday.
University President Aliaa Al-Attar told a pressconference that the approval followed amendments to Higher Education MinistryLaw No. 40 of 1988, which permit the creation of independent graduateinstitutes. The new institute will offer graduate programs inartificial intelligence and health technologies and will train specialists forthe healthcare and academic sectors.
