US President Donald Trump confirmed on Monday that he told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu he would leave him alone if he launched a full-scale war on Iran.
"I told Netanyahu yesterday that he must act cautiously toward Iran; he may find himself alone in the battle," Trump said in a press statement, followed up by the Iraqi News Agency (INA.
He added, "I made it clear to him that a full-scale war against Iran could leave Israel without direct American support."
"I tried to limit the scale of the Israeli response to Iran, and five countries asked me to pressure Netanyahu," he said, adding, "I believe Iran is interested in signing an agreement."
