US ambassador to Lebanon: Israel will withdraw and return the land and prisoners

US Ambassador to Lebanon, Michael Issa, affirmed on Monday that Israel will withdraw from Lebanon and return the occupied territories and prisoners.

“The experimental zone in southern Lebanon will be open to its residents under the protection of the Lebanese army and will not be subjected to Israeli bombardment,” Issa stated in a press conference.

He added that “everything happening in Washington is in Lebanon's best interest,” clarifying that “Israel will withdraw and return the occupied territories and prisoners.”
