President Nizar Amedi reaffirmed his commitment on Friday to supporting initiatives that contribute to environmental protection and promote sustainable development.

“On World Environment Day, we renew our commitment to supporting all initiatives that contribute to environmental protection and promote sustainable development. We emphasize that building a strong nation is incomplete without a healthy and safe environment, and that Iraq’s future begins with preserving its land, water, and air,” the President stated in a post on “X” followed up by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He added, “Iraq, with its vast natural resources and a cultural heritage linked for thousands of years to the land and water, places before us all the responsibility of preserving these blessings and transforming environmental protection into a culture, a daily practice, and a national project in which the state and society participate.”
