Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi received a congratulatory message today, Thursday, from Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store.

The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi received the Norwegian Chargé d'Affaires to Iraq, Alexander Lorfl, who delivered a written message from his country's Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Store, congratulating him on assuming his duties and the government's gaining the confidence of the Council of Representatives."

In his message, the Norwegian Prime Minister affirmed "his country's interest in strengthening bilateral relations with Iraq, based on solid cooperation and a shared vision for supporting security, stability, and peace." He also expressed "his government's aspiration to elevate the levels of cooperation in various fields, particularly strengthening economic and trade partnerships, cooperating on climate issues and emissions reduction, and supporting efforts to consolidate stability at the regional and international levels."
