President Nizar Amidi and Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi emphasized on Tuesday the necessity of completing the cabinet to meet the aspirations of the citizens.
The Presidential Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "President Nizar Amidi met today, Tuesday, in Baghdad with Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi, where they discussed the latest developments on the scene and a number of national issues."
"During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the Presidency and Parliament to consolidate political stability in the country, as well as the necessity of completing the cabinet to meet the aspirations of the citizens and enhance the efficiency of government performance."
The two sides emphasized "the importance of proceeding with legislation that serves the citizens and keeps pace with the requirements of the current stage, and stressed the need for concerted efforts and integrated roles among the constitutional authorities to confront challenges at both the local and regional levels."
