President Joseph Aoun affirmed his country's commitment to preserving civil peace and internal stability and preventing strife, emphasizing that Lebanon has suffered heavy human losses, exceeding three thousand martyrs, in addition to more than one million displaced persons as a result of the war.
Aoun stated that "there is no other option but negotiation," considering that strength lies not in waging wars, but in possessing the courage and wisdom to end them through negotiation in a way that serves the country's interests and preserves its security and stability.
The Lebanese president indicated that "the priority is protecting national unity and avoiding any internal divisions," affirming "the continuation of efforts aimed at strengthening stability and distancing Lebanon from the repercussions of conflicts."
