PM Commends Border Ports Commission's Active Role in Maximizing Revenue and Implementing E-Governance

Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi commended the Border Ports Commission's active role in maximizing revenue and implementing e-governance on Monday, emphasizing his full support for the Commission's success.

The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi met today, Monday, with the head of the Border Ports Commission's, Omar al-Waeli."

"The meeting reviewed the Commission's work, its plans to improve performance, and its procedures for receiving pilgrims returning from Hajj. The Prime Minister directed the head of the Commission to oversee the return of Iraqi pilgrims through the Arar border crossing and to ensure that all necessary facilities are provided for their safe return home."

According to the statement, “During the meeting, the procedures of the regulatory Commission were discussed, and Al-Zaidi praised its active role in maximizing revenues and electronic governance. He also stressed providing full support for the success of the tasks of the Border Ports Commission, especially in the field of combating smuggling, as well as addressing the scourge of drugs and its dangers that threaten the society.”
