The Tasnim News Agency reported on Monday that the Iranian negotiating team has halted communication with the United States following the attacks on Lebanon.
Tasnim quoted Iranian sources as saying, "Given the continued crimes of the Zionist entity in Lebanon, and since Lebanon was a precondition for a ceasefire, Iran will suspend talks and the exchange of messages through intermediaries with the United States."
The agency added that "Iranian officials and negotiators have emphasized the immediate cessation of the Zionist entity's aggressive and brutal operations in Gaza and Lebanon, and the necessity of the entity's complete withdrawal from the occupied territories in Lebanon."
It further stated, "There will be no talks unless the position of Iran and the Resistance is met in this regard," indicating that "the Resistance Front and Iran have placed on their agenda the activation of other fronts, including the Bab el-Mandeb Strait."
