Al-Zaidi and al-Maliki Emphasize the Importance of Completing Government Formation

Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, emphasized on Thursday the necessity of concerted efforts by national forces to complete the formation of the government.

A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi met on Thursday with the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri Kamel al-Maliki.

"During the meeting, they exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Adha while they discussed the situation in the country and stressed the need for concerted efforts by national forces to complete the formation of the government and enable it to implement its program and development plans, thus fulfilling the aspirations of the Iraqi people," the statement added.
