The Axios news website reported on Thursday that the United States and Iran have reached an agreement pending final approval from US President Donald Trump.
The website quoted senior US officials and a regional source involved in the mediation as saying that "the United States and Iran have reached an agreement on a memorandum of understanding to extend the ceasefire for 60 days and begin negotiations on Iran's nuclear program, but President Trump has not yet given his final approval."
"The president has conveyed a message to the mediators that he wants a few days to think about it before making a final decision," the website quoted a senior US official.
