The Leader of the Shiite National Movement,Sayyed Muqtada al-Sadr, on Thursday issued an authorization to complete the procedures for separating the military wing of Saraya al-Salam from the Shiite National Movement.

According to a statement from the private office in Najaf received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), al-Sadr authorized the head of his private office, Haider al-Jabri, military adviser Abu Dua al-Issawi, jihadist deputy Tahseen al-Hamidawi, and the head of “Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous,” Sheikh Mohammed al-Aboudi, to complete the procedures for separating Saraya al-Salam’s military wing from the movement within a maximum period of one week.

The statement added that the full handover is to be completed on Eid al-Ghadir, and the civilian component is to be integrated into “Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous,” in coordination with official authorities.

In an earlier announcement, al-Sadr had declared the separation of Saraya al-Salam from the Shiite National Movement and its full integration into the state, along with the transformation of affiliated civilian entities into “Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous,” without any headquarters, weapons, uniforms, titles, or other designation.
