Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar affirmed on Tuesday that his country is working to keep maritime shipping routes open for all and will continue this effort.

The Pakistani Foreign Minister stated that Islamabad has been pursuing diplomacy to prevent a renewed war in the region and to resume energy exports.

He added that any prolonged conflict in the Middle East serves no one and threatens regional peace.

He emphasized that the continuation of conflict in the Middle East disrupts the global flow of energy and deepens human suffering.

He explained that Pakistan is working to keep maritime shipping routes open for all and will continue this effort, adding, "Lasting peace in the Middle East cannot be achieved while occupation, collective sanctions, and forced displacement persist."
