The Leader of the National State Forces Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakeem, discussed on Monday, the media landscape and the responsibilities entrusted to the network with the Head of the Iraqi Media Network (IMN), Karim Hammadi.
According to a statement issued by the media office of the Leader of the National State Forces Alliance, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The Leader of the National State Forces Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakeem, met with the Head of the Iraqi Media Network, Karim Hammadi, in the presence of Board of Trustees member Awsam Majid."
The statement explained that "the meeting addressed the Iraqi media landscape and the tasks entrusted to the network as the state's official media institution," emphasizing "the importance of the network serving as a true mirror for all Iraqis, reflecting their needs, culture, and aspirations."
Sayyid Al-Hakeem called for "giving youth issues the necessary attention," noting that "official statistics prove that youth represent the largest segment of Iraqi society, which necessitates a media discourse that reflects their thoughts and aspirations."
He stressed "the importance of investing in human capital and mobilizing personnel to support the national media path," pointing out "the pivotal role of media discourse in strengthening relations with neighboring countries."
Furthermore, he emphasized "the importance of communicating with research centers and specialists in various fields," urging the "Iraqi Media Network to sponsor scientific and social events and to host experts capable of providing solutions to current issues."
He also pointed out "the need to coordinate media work with the Communications and Media Commission (CMC), the Ministry of Communications, the Journalists Syndicate, and the media offices across all Iraqi ministries, in a way that contributes to unifying the discourse and delivering it to society." At the same time, he emphasized "the importance of countering alien ideas and negative social phenomena, noting the significant role of drama and documentaries in this field."
