The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, and the Minister of Finance, Faleh al-Sari, stressed on Monday the importance of supporting financial stability and strengthening government plans.
The media office of the head of the State of Law Coalition stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, received the Minister of Finance, Faleh al-Sari, at his office."
Al-Maliki "welcomed the Minister of Finance and wished him success in his new role,During the meeting, they discussed the economic and financial situation in the country and emphasized the importance of supporting financial stability and strengthening government plans aimed at improving public services and the living conditions of citizens."
The statement added that "the meeting addressed the need to proceed with economic reforms and activate development programs, in order to diversify sources of income and support the general budget, as well as the importance of cooperation between political forces and government institutions to overcome current challenges and maintain economic stability in the country."
