Axios reported on Thursday that U.S. President Donald Trump is seriously considering carrying out new strikes on Iran.
The U.S. news site, citing informed sources, said Trump held a meeting with his senior national security team to discuss the war with Iran.
It added that Trump is “seriously considering” new strikes on Iran if no breakthrough is reached in last-minute negotiations.
The report said Trump’s national security team briefed him on the status of negotiations and possible scenarios in the event of their collapse.
