The Directorate of Military Intelligence (DMI) of the Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday the arrest of two terrorists in Baghdad and Anbar.
A statement from the Directorate, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said, "Following directives from the Director of Military Intelligence, which emphasize the arrest of all those wanted on terrorism charges, and based on precise intelligence and targeted operations, detachments from the Military Intelligence Directorate's Intelligence and Security Department in the 17th Infantry Division arrested a terrorist in Baghdad."
"In another operation, and based on precise intelligence, detachments from the Military Intelligence Directorate in the 10th Infantry Division arrested a terrorist in Anbar province," the statement added.
"Arrest warrants had been issued against the two suspects under Article (1/4) of the Counter-Terrorism Law, and they have been handed over to the relevant authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures against them," the statement concluded.
