Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Beijing, the Chinese capital, on Tuesday for an official visit.
Russian media reported that "President Vladimir Putin, accompanied by a high-level delegation, arrived in Beijing for a two-day official visit at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping."
"Putin was greeted upon his arrival in Beijing by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi." The visit will focus on the meetings scheduled for tomorrow between the two presidents. They will first hold a closed meeting, followed by an expanded meeting with the participation of both countries' delegations. The two leaders are also scheduled to hold an informal dialogue session in the evening.
The Kremlin stated that "this kind of meetings allows the two presidents to discuss the most important issues, including international matters, in a friendly and direct atmosphere."
