Justice Minister Khalid Shwani directed the preparation of the Ministry's program on Sunday, in anticipation of its inclusion in the government program.

"Shwani chaired a meeting with the Ministry's senior administrative staff, following his reappointment by the Iraqi Parliament as Minister of Justice, to discuss priorities for the upcoming phase and develop practical plans within the government program, as well as to work on the continued improvement of institutional performance in the judicial and correctional departments," said the Ministry of Justice media office in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.

The statement added that "at the beginning of the meeting, the minister commended the significant efforts exerted by the administrative and technical staff during the past period, which positively impacted the level of services provided to citizens and the performance of the judicial and correctional institutions."

The Justice Minister directed the Ministry to "develop practical plans for adopting digitalization, upgrading infrastructure, maximizing revenues, and reducing expenditures, thereby contributing to enhancing institutional performance and raising the level of judicial services throughout Iraq for the benefit of citizens."

He directed the Ministry to "attend to the needs of its employees and work to improve their administrative and legal conditions and rights, thereby supporting the work environment and raising performance levels."

The Minister of Justice directed the holding of regular meetings to monitor the implementation of the established plans and programs as to continuously evaluate progress rates, ensuring the achievement of the set objectives according to the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness."
