Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ali Faleh al-Zaidi, followed up today, Sunday, on the security plan for the commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him).

The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ali Faleh al-Zaidi, visited the Joint Operations Command headquarters today to review the implementation of the security plan for the commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Muhammad al-Jawad (peace be upon him) in the holy city of Kadhimiyah."

According to the statement, al-Zaidi reviewed "the details of the plan and listened to a detailed briefing presented by the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations regarding its implementation and the readiness of the various branches of the security forces to provide security, services, and the smooth flow of visitors commemorating this religious occasion."

Al-Zaydi commended the efforts of the Joint Operations Command, supporting ministries and service departments, and the technical and administrative efforts, as well as the role of the holy shrines and procession organizers in securing the visit. He also praised the significant role and high level of awareness demonstrated by the visitors, their commitment, and their cooperation with service and security agencies to ensure the success of the pilgrimage on this solemn occasion.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces directed the continuation of security and service efforts at the same high level until the conclusion of the visit ceremonies and the safe return of all visitors to their homes.
