Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian confirmed on Sunday that his country seeks to establish stable relations with Islamic countries in the region.

During his meeting with Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the Iranian president stated that "cooperation among neighboring countries in preventing the exploitation of their territories by terrorists was a valuable step."

He added that "Iran seeks to establish friendly and stable relations with Islamic countries in the region," explaining that "the unity of Islamic countries would limit the interference of transnational powers."

For his part, the Pakistani Interior Minister explained to the Iranian president that "Iran and Pakistan are closer today than ever before."
