Minister of Communications Mustafa Jabbar Sanad officially assumed his duties at the Ministry of Communications headquarters on Friday, succeeding Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi.

A statement from the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), indicated that "Minister of Communications Mustafa Jabbar Sanad officially assumed his duties at the Ministry of Communications headquarters, succeeding Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi. The handover ceremony took place in the presence of the undersecretaries and directors general of the Ministry's headquarters and its affiliated companies. Key files and work mechanisms for the upcoming period were also reviewed."

The statement added that Al-Hasnawi congratulated the Minister on assuming his duties, wishing him "success in his new role and in continuing to develop the communications sector and improve the level of services provided to citizens."

For his part, Sanad emphasized his commitment to "enhancing the performance of the communications sector, given its importance in the lives of citizens, and working in accordance with the government program and the directives of the Prime Minister in a way that contributes to the growth and development of the sector and keeps pace with modern technological advancements."

Sand praised the efforts made during the previous phase by the ministers and all ministry staff, stressing "the importance of integrating efforts, working as one team, and preparing a program and vision for the ministry that serves the Iraqi people."
