Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi affirmed on Thursday that Prime Minister Ali al-Zidi's government received the support of political forces as a significant national and constitutional entitlement.
In a post on the X platform, which was monitored by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), al-Halbousi stated: "We congratulate Prime Minister Ali al-Zidi on his government and its ministerial program receiving the confidence of Parliament, after obtaining the support of political forces as a significant national and constitutional entitlement. This is a great responsibility in light of the political, economic, and service-related challenges facing the country at this stage."
He added, "We also extend our thanks to the political forces and members of Parliament for their role in supporting the government formation process," emphasizing that "the next stage requires solidarity and working with a spirit of national responsibility to preserve stability and serve the aspirations of citizens in all governorates."
