BAGHDAD — INA

The Head of the National State Forces Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, affirmed today, Thursday, that supporting Ali Al-Zaidi in forming the government is not a political stance, but rather a national entitlement imposed by the gravity of the current stage.

The media office of Sayyid Al-Hakeem stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Sayyid Al-Hakeem met with the parliamentary bloc of the National State Forces Alliance in a meeting carrying a double message: praise that raises the ceiling, and a responsibility that accepts no excuses."

He praised "what the bloc's MPs are presenting in terms of presence at the political, legislative, and supervisory levels," emphasizing that "this presence is not an achievement to be celebrated, but rather a trust that requires intensification and continuation."

He called for "deepening cooperation with other political blocs and seriously engaging in the work of specialized parliamentary committees, because real politics is made inside committees, not on briefing platforms."

He pointed to "the scale of challenges surrounding Iraq politically, economically, and financially, declaring a explicit stance: 'Supporting Ali Al-Zaidi in forming the government is not a political stance — it is a national entitlement imposed by the gravity of the stage.'"

Sayyid Al-Hakeem held "the political blocs to their historical responsibility in the face of these challenges," stressing that "whoever holds a legislative position must not hesitate to overcome obstacles before the government, and must be a partner in solving the crisis, not creating it."
