Interior Minister and head of the Higher Security Committee for Mass Pilgrimages Abdul Amir al-Shammari reviewed on Wednesday the final preparations for the security plan marking the commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Jawad (PBUH).
The Interior Ministry’s media office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that al-Shammari chaired an expanded conference at the headquarters of the Second Division of the Federal Police in the holy city of Kadhimiya, attended by the service committee and several security commanders, to discuss the latest preparations and finalize the plan for the commemoration.
The statement added that the conference included a detailed presentation on the deployment of security forces, the distribution of service efforts, and joint coordination mechanisms. Participants stressed the need to mobilize all efforts to ensure the success of the occasion, protect pilgrims, and facilitate smooth movement.
