US President Donald Trump is accompanied on his visit to China by an economic delegation comprising eighteen top CEOs of major American companies, marking the first visit by a US president to Beijing in nearly a decade.
Reports indicate that the visit aims "to push Beijing towards greater trade openness and address the regulatory challenges facing American companies in the vast Chinese market."
This delegation is being referred to in some media circles as the "Trillionaires" due to the immense value of the companies they manage, which collectively exceeds tens of trillions of dollars. The delegation includes prominent figures such as Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who joined at the last minute, along with billionaire Elon Musk. Trump and his entourage received a grand welcome, including a military honor guard and groups of Chinese students waving American and Chinese flags as he disembarked from Air Force One.
Trump wrote on Truth Social that he would demand that Chinese President Xi Jinping "open up" China so that these wonderful leaders could show their charm, while Beijing expressed its full readiness to expand cooperation and manage differences in a turbulent international environment.
