Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi demanded on Wednesday that Kuwait release four Iranians detained in the Gulf.
"In a clear attempt to sow discord, Kuwait illegally attacked an Iranian boat and detained four of our citizens in the Arabian Gulf," said Araghchi in a post on X, followed up by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
He added, "This illegal act occurred near an island used by the United States to launch attacks against Iran. We demand the immediate release of our citizens and reserve our right to respond."
