PM Mohammed S. Al-Sudani met on Wednesday with the President of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Dirjal, and the head coach of the national football team, Graham Arnold.
The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for Arnold’s role “in qualifying the national team for the FIFA World Cup finals,” directing that “all necessary facilities and support be provided to the team during the preparation phase preceding its matches in this major global tournament,” according to a statement from the PM Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
Al-Sudani affirmed that, since assuming his executive duties, he has “believed in the importance of supporting the national team and other sports, whose significance has come to extend beyond the sporting sphere to influence political, economic, and developmental aspects, alongside his confidence in the ability of the national team players to secure qualification.”
