Al-Zaidi and Talabani Stress the Need to Continue Efforts to Form the New Government

Prime Minister-designate Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) leader Bafel Talabani emphasized on Tuesday the need to continue efforts to form the new government.

The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Prime Minister-designate Ali Faleh al-Zaidi received PUK leader Bafel Talabani."

According to the statement "the meeting discussed the general situation throughout the country and stressed the need to continue efforts to form a new, inclusive government capable of addressing the challenges facing the country at this stage, contributing to strengthening stability, serving the citizens, and preserving the country's higher interests."
