The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced on Tuesday the launch of the "Imposing Sovereignty" military operations across the deserts of Holy Najaf and Holy Karbala.
The Commander of Middle Euphrates Operations within the PMF Commission, Major General Ali Al-Hamdani, stated in an official release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "a military operation named 'Imposing Sovereignty' commenced today in the deserts of Holy Najaf and Holy Karbala across four axes, aiming to secure the strategic highway connecting Holy Karbala and the Nukhaib region." He further noted that "the operation was initiated under the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and under the direct supervision of the Army Chief of Staff, General Abdul Amir Yarallah."
Al-Hamdani explained that "the operational axes comprise the Middle Euphrates Operations Command, the Holy Karbala Operations Command, and the Anbar Operations Command within the PMF Commission, alongside the PMF's 2nd Brigade." He added that "the participating forces are executing clearing and search operations up to a depth of 70 kilometers, guided by precise military blueprints and conducted with a high level of professionalism."
