The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim, emphasized today, Monday, the importance of expediting the formation of the government and supporting Prime Minister-designate Ali al-Zaidi in his mission.

A statement from al-Hakim's office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), indicated that "the head of the National State Forces Alliance, Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim, met with a number of members of Parliament, during which they discussed developments in the political scene in Iraq and the region, as well as upcoming challenges."

According to the statement, al-Hakim stressed "the importance of expediting the formation of the government and supporting Ali al-Zaidi in his mission," praising "the role of Parliament in supporting the stability achieved in the country on all levels."

He pointed to "the importance of parliamentary work in monitoring the situation in the provinces, demanding their rights, and supporting their local governments," "the necessity of enacting the laws that have been pending from previous parliamentary sessions, especially those that directly affect citizens and the structure of the state and its institutions."
