Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude on Monday to Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Sistani for his support of those affected by the aggression, while also praising the solidarity of the Iraqi people.
"I extend my deepest gratitude for the generous support provided by Grand Ayatollah Sistani (may his shadow be extended) to the Islamic Republic of Iran and those affected by the recent aggression," Pezeshkian said in a post on X, followed up by the Iraqi News Agency - INA, praising "the solidarity of the brotherly Iraqi people."
Pezeshkian added, "The religious authority has always been a strong fortress and a firm support for the oppressed."
