The heads of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zidan, and the Republic, Nizar Amidi, discussed on Monday the importance of expediting the formation of the Council of Ministers within the constitutional timeframe.

A statement from the judiciary, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), indicated that "the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zidan, received the President of the Republic, Nizar Amidi, and discussed with him a number of legal issues."

According to the statement, the two sides discussed "the importance of expediting the formation of the Council of Ministers within the constitutional timeframe stipulated in Article (76/Second) of the Constitution."
