A Pakistani government official announced on Sunday that his country had received Iran's response to the US proposal and indicated that it had been sent to Washington.
Reuters quoted the official as saying, "We have received Iran's response to the US proposal."
He added, "The response has been sent to the United States."
The Iranian news agency IRNA reported on Sunday that Iran had sent its response to the US proposal via Pakistan.
The agency stated, "Iran sent its response to the latest US proposal to end the war to the Pakistani mediator."
It continued, "According to the proposed plan, negotiations at this stage are focused on ending the war in the region."
