Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani held talks on Sunday with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff on regional developments and Pakistani mediation efforts aimed at reducing tensions.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that “Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met in Miami with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff.”
The ministry added that “the two sides discussed the situation in the region, Pakistan’s mediation efforts to de-escalate tensions, as well as the strategic partnership between the two countries.”
During the meeting, both sides stressed “the importance of all parties responding positively to mediation efforts.”
