Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud congratulated Prime Minister-designate Ali Faleh Kazem Al-Zaidi on Saturday on his appointment to form the government, expressing his hope for strengthening relations with Iraq.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that "Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud sent a congratulatory cable to Prime Minister-designate Ali Faleh Kazem Al-Zaidi on his appointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq."

According to SPA, the Saudi Crown Prince said: "On the occasion of your appointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, we are pleased to extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes for success and guidance, asking God Almighty to grant you success in serving Iraq and its brotherly people."

He added: "We look forward to working with you to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood between our two countries and peoples, and to enhance them in all fields, wishing you good health and happiness, and the brotherly people of the Republic of Iraq further progress and prosperity."
