National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji affirmed on Saturday the readiness to support the demands of the tribes in maintaining social relations and extending social communication bridges between Iraq and Syria.
A statement issued by the media office of the National Security Advisor, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that “National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji received Sheikh Musab Aboud Al-Jadaan, the Sheikh of the Sheikhs of the Al-Ukaidat tribe in Syria, and his accompanying delegation, which included Sheikh Ali Mahmoud Al-Hashem, the general Sheikh of the Al-Ukaidat tribe in Iraq, and Sheikh Wadhah Abdul.”
The statement added that "the meeting included a comprehensive review of bilateral relations and social ties between Iraq and Syria, as well as the role of the tribes during past and present phases."
Al-Araji affirmed "the readiness to support the needs of the tribes in maintaining social relations among them and building bridges of social communication, thereby strengthening brotherhood and cohesion and sustaining social stability."
