The Wall Street Journal reported that talks between the United States and Iran could resume next week in Islamabad.
According to the newspaper, citing informed sources, Iran has for the first time expressed openness to discussing its nuclear program within the framework of the upcoming talks, a development seen as significant in Tehran's stance on the nuclear issue.
Conversely, the newspaper quoted a source familiar with the position of an Iranian official as saying that Tehran "remains opposed to the transfer of nuclear materials to the United States."
