Al-Zaidi and Allawi Stress the Need for Political Forces to Support the Government Formation Process

Prime Minister-designate Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi emphasized on Thursday the need for national political forces to support the government formation process.

The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Prime Minister-designate Ali Faleh al-Zaidi met with former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi."

The statement added that "the meeting addressed the general situation in the country and the steps related to forming the new government. Emphasis was placed on the necessity of national political forces supporting the government formation process and enabling it to fulfill its duties and responsibilities, thereby strengthening stability and serving the interests of all Iraqis."
