President Nizar Amidi emphasized to a delegation from the Parliamentary Investment Committee on Wednesday the importance of supporting economic development plans.
The Presidential Media Office stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "President Nizar Amidi received at the Peace Palace in Baghdad a delegation from the Parliamentary Investment and Development Committee, who offered their congratulations on his assumption of the presidency,” the statement added that "the meeting addressed ways to improve the investment climate in the country."
According to the statement, the President stressed "the importance of supporting economic development plans and creating an attractive investment environment," noting "the necessity of removing obstacles facing investors and strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors."
Regarding the formation of the new government, the President stressed "the importance of supporting the Prime Minister-designate in choosing a competent cabinet that adheres to the standards of integrity, experience and independence, in line with the citizens' aspirations for progress and prosperity."
