Al-Zaidi and Bafel Talabani Discuss Efforts to Form the New Government

Prime Minister-designate Ali Faleh al-Zaidi met with the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Talabani, on Saturday to discuss efforts to form the new government.

The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Prime Minister-designate Ali Faleh al-Zaidi met with the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Talabani, during his visit to the city of Sulaimaniyah."

The statement added that "the meeting discussed the latest developments in the country and efforts to form the new government, emphasizing the need to work as a unified team based on a shared vision to confront challenges and consolidate stability, in a way that meets the needs and interests of all the Iraqi people."
