The US State Department announced on Saturday that it would supply Israel with precision-guided missiles.
A statement from the ministry said that "a major military sale to supply Israel with precision-guided missiles worth approximately $1 billion has been approved."
The statement added that "the missile deal was made under an emergency provision that allows for bypassing congressional review."
